Yoga Therapy with Steve Richardson
Yoga Cikitsa/Yoga Therapy
To be truly healthy we need to be healthy on all levels.
Yoga therapy By working with our diet, environment, lifestyle, exercise, breathing, meditation and use of sound we can affect almost all aspects of ourselves on all levels: physical, energetic, mental, emotional, spiritual.
Yoga can help heal some things on its own, but it can also be integrative with other healing methods.
You may find Yoga Therapy with Steve Richardson useful for many of the following issues. Mostly the idea is education, support, and freedom. Yoga can only heal you or help you heal if you practice it. The idea is liberation, not dependence.
Muscular Skeletal Issues
Postural Alignment (holding patterns)
Tracking Issues (movement patterns)
Back Problems of all types including;
Bulging or Painful Discs
Stenosis
Scoliosis
Sciatica
Energetic Issues
Breathing Problems, Asthma, COPD
Stress, Physical and Mental
Psycho-Emotional Issues, Depression, Anxiety, Repetitive &/or Disturbing Thoughts, Sleeplessness
Reduce or Eliminate dependence on many drugs.
CAUTION: Some of the Many Side Effects of Practicing Yoga are A Clear Peaceful Mind, Better Concentration, Better Decisions, Abundant Energy, Balanced Emotions, Better Health, Better Relationships of all kinds, More Strength and Flexibility, Longer and some would say "Better" Life.
SERIOUSLY: Yoga is amazing in its scope and with what it can accomplish, HOWEVER, yoga is Not A Replacement for Competent Medical Care. Modern Western Medicine has much to offer and we should not ignore it's many miracles or blunders.
Ultimately we must all be responsible for our own health if we are able. That means we must know what to select and when. I thank God for Yoga, but I also thank God for my Shoulder Surgeon and my Dentist. Be aware that medicine changes every day and you should always search to see the most moderns methods. Educate yourself. Yoga itself on the other hand does not change. The application of yoga changes, but the yoga itself does not change. There is much stability in this.
